Development education and awareness-raising

The other half of our mission takes place in Spain.

Through development education, we raise awareness and train people across society. We work above all with children and young people to promote values such as solidarity, equality and respect for human rights.

We support educational and social institutions through meetings, seminars and training and awareness-raising workshops. We also make our professionals available to other organisations, helping them develop and strengthen their activities and their work with people at local level.

Workshops and activities

We run laughter therapy, emotional education and personal development workshops in schools, organisations and local council services, aimed at children, young people and older adults. We also take part in mediation programmes and in values-based training courses.

Awareness-raising campaigns

We run campaigns and take part in events on development cooperation and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We also address issues such as human rights, migration, gender equality and climate change. One example is our awareness-raising project with secondary schools in the Axarquia and Costa Tropical areas of southern Spain.

Educational resources

We provide teachers, families and organisations with resources and activities for exploring solidarity, inequality and values, both in the classroom and at home.
