Project summary
Following the success of the first phase in 2021, this second phase keeps the same aim of improving the living conditions of children with special educational needs in the province of Anta, consolidating what has been achieved and reaching more families and professionals.
Areas of work
- Refurbishing, equipping and formally registering the special schools, to improve the quality of the children’s education.
- Specialist training for teachers and families in the early detection of special needs and in helping children become more independent.
- Awareness-raising workshops to make the reality of these children’s lives more visible.
- Ongoing advice from Spanish institutions and specialists working in special educational needs.
Results
- 115 children with special educational needs supported.
- 115 families supported and trained.
- 15 professionals given specialist training.
- Special schools refurbished, equipped and formally registered.
